Social media website guidance

The below guidance is aimed at anyone who wishes to comment on our social media pages, or on our website. Please take the time to read through this guidance.

NHS NEW Devon CCG welcomes your comments and feedback through our Facebook and Twitter page and we hope you will join the discussions.

Although we cannot respond to every comment, particularly those that deal with individual medical cases, we do review our pages daily and will respond to as many as possible.

Below we have outlined a few points on what we consider is acceptable and unacceptable content.

Please do not use swear words, crude, abusive or sexual language. Do not insult other comments or discuss the removal of any content on this site.

You must not make or encourage comments which are:
  • defamatory, false or misleading
  • insulting, threatening or abusive
  • obscene or of a sexual nature
  • offensive, racist, sexist, homophobic or discriminatory against any religions or other groups
  • promoting illegal activity
  • intended to deceive.

Social media is a public forum
Once you have posted your comment on social media please remember that everyone with internet access can view it. You may express a strong opinion but please remember you are legally responsible for what you submit.

Please do not use our social media sites for the promotion of products, services or chain messages or for any other commercial purpose.

We retain the right to remove comments that refer to any sponsorship, petition, campaign or scheme, at our discretion.

If your comment violates any of the points above we reserve the right to remove your comment. If you are aware that your comment has been removed, you must not deliberately resubmit the same content.
